Watch Breitling celebrate RAF100 with an exclusive poem

The Swiss watch brand celebrates and commemorates the Royal Air Force, accompanied by a film directed by David Gandy

For the latest video entry in Breitling’s celebratory partnership with the Royal Air Force for RAF100, the institution’s Official Watch Partner has released a short film alongside Karl Tearney’s poem, ‘100 Years’.

Tearney, a former military man who was discharged due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, found a new enthusiasm for poetry and prose after leaving the Army Air Corps. This latest poem celebrates the sacrifices of airmen throughout the past century, and highlights the extent of their service for our country.

Alongside the poem, David Gandy has once again directed a short film, that works to illustrate the ideas and sentiments of the verses. Freshly-shot pictures are interspersed with heritage footage to show just how integral the RAF have been during their 100-year life, and why they’re so deserving of our respect and celebration today.
