Gentleman’s Journal and Luca Faloni celebrate Italy at Chuc’s

Guests including Harrison Osterfield, Eric Underwood, Mathias le Fèvre, Cyrill Ibrahim and Luca himself tucked into Tuscan lamb and mushroom tortellini...

On Wednesday evening, the movable feast of Gentleman’s Journal’s 10th Birthday Celebrations rolled merrily on — this time with a party at Chuc’s restaurant to celebrate the best of Italian cashmere (and cuisine, of course). And when it comes to Italian cashmere, very few do it better than co-host Luca Faloni — a longtime friend of the magazine who makes some of the most exquisite knitted garments known to man.

There had rarely been a toastier (or better looking) gathering in darkest Belgravia, one suspected, as guests — including Harrison Osterfield, Eric Underwood, Mathias le Fèvre, Cyrill Ibrahim and Luca himself — tucked into Tuscan lamb cutlets, mushroom tortellini, and quite possibly the finest steak tartare in town.

The gallons of free-flowing peach bellinis certainly didn’t hurt the cosy bonhomie, of course — and by the end of the night everyone felt as if their very soul had been wrapped in the finest, softest Faloni cashmere. Saluti!
