The Vanguart Pre-Wimbledon Dinner

Perhaps it was the calm before the storm — though there wasn’t much calm about it. On the Thursday evening just before Wimbledon, up in the beautiful Italian Gardens of Kensington Roof Gardens, Gentleman’s Journal hosted a dinner in partnership with Vanguart — the watchmaker that combines stunning horology with truly future-facing designs.

The crowd was similarly eclectic — with world number 14 Andrey Rublev mingling with screen star Harrison Osterfeld, singer Bebe Rexha, and rapper Che Lingo. Guests — including Lawrence van Hagen, Jack Fox, Zeynep Sönmez, Kristina Liliana Chudinova, Joe Kennedy, and Vanguart co-founder and president Mehmet Korutürk — enjoyed excellent margaritas and a volley of spritzes before a decadent meal of seabass, fillet steak and a truly brilliant tiramisu buoyed them for dancing into the night, aided in no small part to the rollicking tune of DJ Abel Simpson.
