Editor’s Picks: Seersucker Robe, Lotus Eletre and A$AP Rocky Whiskey
From a suitcase celebrating 60 years of James Bond to the new Breitling Navitimer, this is what we want this week…
This week, many of the best British brands have been showing their true colours. New & Lingwood entered an exciting new phase with pastel shades and cosy fits. Lotus Cars launched its first-ever SUV in a vivid, vivacious yellow. And Globe-Trotter celebrates 60 years of James Bond with a many-hued, modish spin on its reliable suitcases.
For these, and many more new eye-catching releases — from a bold blue Breitling to a rich amber whisky from A$AP Rocky — take a look below…
Bright spark: Lotus ‘Eletre’ Electric SUV
Last night, Lotus unveiled its latest; an all-electric SUV they call ‘Eletre’. The homegrown, homespun British carmaker is a little late to the 4×4 game, but there’s lots to impress here; from the Evija-inspired, hypercar curves and a full-width LED light ‘ribbon’ at the rear, to a purported range of 373 miles and 0-60mph time of under three seconds.
Raise a glass: Mercer + Prince Canadian Whiskey
When Gentleman’s Journal met A$AP Rocky in 2018, he told us: “All my business endeavours, and all my musical endeavours, all my artistic endeavours — it all comes natural”. The latest endeavour is his most spirited yet; a smooth-sipping whiskey brand inspired by his favourite NYC crossroads and infused with nutty Japanese oak flavours.

Lock and load: Overfinch x Purdey Range Rover
Based in the north of England, British brand Overfinch has spent half a century putting its signature twists and tweaks on Land Rovers. The latest to roll off the customisation line is this; a bespoke collaboration with gunmakers James Purdey & Sons — complete with tan Recaro seats, lambswool carpets and burr walnut trim.
All tied up: New & Lingwood Seersucker Dressing Gown
Pushing the pastel-coloured envelope for the British brand’s new age, the latest collection from New & Lingwood is brushed with gentle shades and snug fits. Seersucker is one of four key fabrics used across the range; no better deployed than with this unlined dressing gown — a masterclass in rust-coloured comfort.
