Burning Desire, Jaguar F-type

Burning Desire, Jaguar F-type

This week saw the London Sundance Festival launch of the iconic E-type’s spectacular successor in spectacular style.

Jaguar chose to lead by true British example, in collaborating with Ridley Scott Associates on a 12-minute artistic project that sees Damien Lewis, our Golden Globe award winning homegrown talent (top to toe in Burberry), staring alongside Jordi Molla. The redhead’s role as a delivery boy is the focus of a complex tale of passion, betrayal and greed, complete with the bond-like beauty of Shannyn Sossamon. The awe-some natural landscape of Chile’s Atacama Desert is the backdrop for the F-type’s soaring path and allows its V8 to resound flawlessly.

The prize for best leading actor goes to the F-type, with a choice of three engines, ranging from a three-litre V6 to a supercharged five-litre V8. Top speed, with ease at 186mph and 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. This stunning car with real craftsmanship and classic design proved its beauty when Lana Del Rey (new brand ambassador) seductively posed over the sculpted aluminum chassis, unable to steal the attention. Her husky tones however create the perfect soundtrack with exclusive tune ‘Burning Desire.’

Ian Armstrong, Jaguar’s Global Marketing Director said, “our most important product launch in 50 years has produced a quality film,” we couldn’t agree more, Jaguar continues to be “synonymous with iconic moments in cinematic history.”

We say, this Icon is summer’s essential piece of power, complete with a drop top, collapsible in 12 seconds at 30mph.

From £58,500, supercharged from £79,950. jaguar.co.uk
