Gregory Emvy’s First Solo Show

Gregory Emvy’s long awaited solo exhibition Human Souls opened with two events in a Cadogan Square Mansion in Knightsbridge in October.

The highly anticipated event attracted a number of celebrities and high profile international collectors. It was a wonderfully glamorous evening of cocktails and canapés and surprisingly not much art! The exhibition abandoned the traditional format of an exhibition and instead of Gregory’s artwork being on display, guests were shown a conceptual video that featured the artist, presenting himself to the audience in a vulnerable way exploring ideas of duality and the darker side of the human subconscious. Once the video had ended, the artist’s paintings were then projected on the wall one by one. It was incredible to get the opportunity to listen to Gregory talking about the concept of each piece and explaining the process of the works creation.

Guests were then given the opportunity to see Gregory’s paintings at a second fantastic event later on that week. Hosted in the same Cadogan Square Mansion. Once again there were a number of famous faces at the event who were able to enjoy Gregory’s art whilst sampling Champagne.

The exhibition acts as a teaser for Gregory Emvy’s 2015 full-scale show.
