The early signs that you’re going to be very successful

The world of business is ruthless. Some people are born leaders, destined to head up companies and firms, constantly teetering on the edge of their next world-changing idea. Others aren’t, and are more than happy to fall into line and toil for the powers that be.

The leaders usually distinguish themselves from an early age – they’re the ones who captain the U9s rugby team, lead the playground charge and voice themselves regularly in the classroom. As they grow older, they find passions that develop into career paths. Here they thrive.

These are the early hints to suggest you’re going to be very successful.

You never stop

Your energy levels are never exhausted. Sitting around, relaxing, is time wasted. You can slow down when you’re dead. You join clubs, take extra classes – you’re a yes man. You require constant stimulation.

You take risks

Challenge is something you willingly accept and tackle head on. Life starts at the end of your comfort zone. To make a success of yourself in business, you need to take risks, throw yourself into the unknown. This is something you adopt early on in life – you’re never scared to make a bold decision

You put yourself forward

You’re the have-a-go kid. Fail or succeed, you’re not one to shy away. You step up. You’re the guy who opts to enter the performer’s ring, the one who is used for demonstrations on the sport’s field.

You give it your all, every time

You don’t do things by half measures. You leave everything out on the pitch and never settle for mediocrity, because mediocrity in business equates to failure.

You take an interest

You have passions. You read. You are intrigued by the work of others. You chase interests and allow them to blossom into burgeoning projects. You are always on the look out for the next thing to catch your attention.

You’re cutthroat

Because to get anywhere in business, you have to be. There is no time for stragglers – no time for those who don’t meet the grade. As you would happily have done while picking your football team at school, leaving the weak out, you’re more than happy to do the same when it comes to work.

You see opportunity where others don’t

There is a chance to make money in everything you do. The world’s richest had to start somewhere – Geoffrey Kent kicked off his bank balance by selling elephant hair bracelets. Were you the guy who sold Mars Bars and Coco Cola at school for a tidy profit? Entrepreneurship has no age restraints. Will you go far?
