Wine Of The Week – Marquis de Belleville, Bordeaux Supérieur 2009, France

On offer at less than £6 a bottle this is a true bargain and outstanding value for money.

For those of you who aren’t wine experts, a Bordeaux Supérieur can be made anywhere within the AOC Bordeaux appellation, however they must be matured for at least 12 months prior to release. This bold, ripe and creamy Bordeaux is made by the negociant house Sovex-Woltner, who sourced their grapes from several Petits Châteaux’s.
