Introducing the Sailing Yacht of the Year

Despite some stiff competition from much larger Superyachts, the aptly named 33m Win Win last month took home the World Superyacht Awards prize for ‘Sailing Yacht of the Year’. A feat of technology and design, she was launched in 2014 from the Baltic Yachts shipyard as a vessel that could offer unlimited comfort as well as regatta-winning performance.

Her profile is sleek and modern – the green waterline drawing the eye along her dynamic lines and her clean deck spaces complimenting naval architect Javier Jaudenes’ eye-catching design. Built for an experienced sailor, the heart of Win Win’s construction is a passion for sailing and a commitment to pushing boundaries. A super-light all-carbon hull and exceptionally well-built structure means she comfortably sails at 12 knots while pushing 18 knots in good winds.

Custom-designed to the specific needs of her owner, Win Win’s interior reflects the slick, uncluttered approach of her exterior. A focus has been made on ensuring the thrills of the under sail experience is met in its full entirety, so decoration has been kept to a minimum and the flat-screen TV’s that can usually be found adorning Superyacht walls have been kept out of the main living areas. The effect is no less luxurious however, particularly in the huge master suite which occupies the entire forward section and boasts a private seating area and office. Two further guest staterooms can be found aft of the main saloon – each finished to the highest specifications.

When the owner and his guests aren’t testing the yacht’s performance out on the open waves, they can relax on the cockpit sunpad and relaxation area – a perfect spot to soak up the sun by day or watch it go down with a glass of champagne in hand. Win Win is part of an ever-growing fleet of sailing yachts that embody all the charm and exhilaration of sailing while providing comfort at a level more associated with motor yachts. With success already met in such a small space of time, she is undoubtedly one to watch on the regatta circuit for years to come.
