BAILEY’S STARDUST

UPROAR! THE FIRST 50 YEARS OF THE LONDON GROUP

Uproar - TGJ.01

This beautifully curated exhibition of the controversial London Groups’ work draws its name from uproar that followed the group’s show in 1915. The work of the radical group, which emerged in 1913 as a stark alternative to the art establishment of the day, is curated in a way that gives an insightful look at the influences, controversies and characteristics of the groups first 50 years.

RICHARD HAMILTON

Richard Hamilton - TGJ.01

This highly personal exhibition by one of Britain’s most influential artists explores the intriguing path that lead to his final unfinished and unseen work, ‘Le Chef-d’oeuvre inconnu’. The exhibition contains never-before seen works by the artist and explores the various directions that his art took over the years.

TURNER AND THE SEA

TURNER AND THE SEA - TGJ.01

For the more traditional art-lovers amongst you, this is certainly the exhibition to see. More than half Turner’s artistic endeavours were of maritime subject matters, yet this is the first truely comprehensive exhibition that explores the artist’s lifelong fascination with the sea and it’s transience.

VAN GOGH’S SUNFLOWERS

SUNFLOWERS - TGJ.01

In this extraordinary collaboration between the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam and the National Gallery, this display offers visitors a rare opportunity to view the iconic ‘Sunflowers’ alongside 2 of its near identical successors. The three works have not been seen together in public for over 65 years, thus offering viewers and exceptional opportunity to compare and contrast the works and maybe even gain a little more insight into the mysterious mind of the great Van Gogh.
