We Like – Conran Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman

This chair was originally designed as a birthday present for the Director Billy Wilder, who’s Hollywood classics included Sunset Boulevard and Some Like It Hot. It was designed by the husband and wife team Ray and Charles Eames, who had a philosophy of taking traditional materials and using them in industrial processes.

This chair is supremely comfortable with its luxuriously cushioned leather seat pads. It has a cherry wood veneered plywood shell which rests on aluminum supports with a cast aluminum base. It also has shock mounts that allow the backrest and headrest to flex slightly.
