Watch this space: Omega lands in Sloane Street

It seems that Omega are slowly taking over London’s premier retail districts, one boutique at a time. Following on from last year’s mammoth Oxford Street opening, the Swiss watch brand have touched down in Sloane Street, one of the Capital’s most opulent shopping roads.

Nestled amongst the finest brands in the world, Omega’s latest boutique boasts 360 square meters of space set over two floors, allowing customers to really immerse themselves in what the brand is all about.

With a neutral colour scheme consisting of cream and champagne as well as luxurious zebra wood furniture, the store is a pleasant place to be. Head down the sweeping staircase for a more private space, complete with VIP area for clients after a more personal experience. There’s also an in-house lab for a watchmaker, who’ll happily service or repair your Omega timepiece on-site.

In typical Omega fashion, the opening of the boutique was quite the spectacle in itself. Omega brand ambassador Captain Gene Cernan was present on the day, officially opening the boutique in tandem with Vice President & International Sales Director, Raynald Aeschlimann. Amazingly, Captain Cernan was the 11th and last man to walk on the Moon during the Apollo space missions of the 60s.

Gene proudly wore his commemorative Speedmaster whilst sitting in a Lunar Rover outside the new Omega boutique – it was quite the picture in the centre of Knightsbridge.

Talking about the store, Raynald Aeschlimann said: “Sloane Street is home to our seventh Omega boutique in London, and further strengthens our relationship and commitment to the UK market. Knightsbridge is an iconic shopping destination, and home to some of the most renowned brands in the world. We look forward to offering the Omega retail experience in this beautiful part of London.”
