Trailer: Brad Pitt and Shia Le Beouf hot up in Fury

Brad Pitt’s latest war epic features an interesting collection of Hollywood stars, with ‘Shooter’ sidekick and committed Scientologist Michael Pena appearing alongside papparazzi arch-enemy Shia le Beouf.

The trailer reveals a character-based movie, which will unfairly suffer pre-emptive comparisons with ‘Saving Private Ryan’, that uses character specific story lines to break up the intensity of action-heavy fighting. Director David Ayer, the mind behind docu-style LA police film ‘End of Watch’ (2012), has promised that this will be a “movie about World War 2 the likes of which we haven’t seen before”.

Whilst that remains to be seen, it will be a test of Pitt’s star quality to return to a leading role after his acclaimed appearance as a supporting actor in Oscar sensation ’12 Years a Slave’. Perhaps he’ll be taking some advice from an elder statesman of the Hollywood screen and best friend, George Clooney, who has just chosen him as his best man.
