The Samsung S9 Ultra HD 3D TV
Words: Gentleman's Journal
Samsung’s S9 Ultra HD Television looks like a really expensive fold-out table, but fear not, it is indeed a TV – and a pretty amazing one at that. Image quality is outstanding in 2D and the 3D ready TV provides that sought after medium that’s becoming more and more popular each day. The Ultra HD platform, although breathtaking visually, has one downside – there isn’t a lot of Ultra HD ready material to watch on it. However, that’s what they said when regular HD TV first appeared. It’s now become the norm to watch HD programs and channels every day, the whole TV broadcasting industry has adopted the technology and now we can’t get enough of it. The same will happen with Ultra HD over the next couple years.

The Samsung is full of cool new kit, like the ability to upscale 1080p resolution images with an advanced pixel filler, and coupled with the 84inch screen, picture quality has never been better. Gesture control has also been mentioned, as well as smart view and content sharing between devices. The TV stand itself actually doubles up as 120Watt speakers, so the ultra clean visuals are maintained wherever and however you set it up. For the real home cinema lovers, the model might also comes in a 110inch version, however that is just a rumour for now. It’s rivals have a lot of overlapping technology in the likes of LG and Sony, however Samsung has said that they are very happy with their new product
Expect the Samsung Ultra HD to hit the stores in a few months time, and with a hefty price tag of around £30,000.
