The New Audi RS7 Sportback

It’s faster than the latest Porsche 911. It’s the A7 Sportback. In short, it’s been given the hardcore RS treatment, a 552bhp and 516lb ft 4.0-litre bi-turbo V8 fires the RS7 to 62mph in 3.9sec.

An eight-speed automatic transmission will see you on your way, along with Sport and Manual modes. Manual shifters can use the paddles on the steering wheel or the RS-specific gearstick. Upsized alloys and heavy-duty brakes complete the package.

Two turbochargers, chart the total power at 552bhp. If you opt for the full-limit option the RS7 will go on to a top speed of 189mph. This translate into an astounding soundtrack, and switchable flaps in the exhaust will give you more throttling exhaust notes, and for those seeking an even more dramatic tune, a sports exhaust system is available from the options list.

The Audi RS7 is arriving later in 2013, but is said to start at around £84,000, however – with full spec it will bring you closer to £100,000.
