The Diary: TAG Heuer celebrate 50 years of the iconic Monaco

In the timepiece's namesake city, the watch brand this weekend hosted a grand celebration at the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix

In 1969, the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix leant its glamorous, high-octane name to one of TAG Heuer’s most iconic watches. This weekend on the Riviera, guests were invited aboard the TAG Heuer Yacht to celebrate, with a party hosted by Patrick Dempsey and Bella Hadid.

It was announced that, throughout this year, five new Monaco timepieces will be revealed, each inspired by the different decades from 1969 to 2019. And, for an event paying tribute to the enduring innovation and timeless design of the world’s first water-resistant square watch, where better than the waters around Monaco to celebrate?

Dempsey and Hadid were joined by Winnie Harlow, Jourdan Dunn, Kai Lenny and Jean-Éric Vergne aboard the yacht, where they enjoyed an exclusive performance by famous French DJ Bob Sinclar. Take a look at the event below.
