For the past months, a dedicated team of writers, photographers, stylists, designers and storytellers have been quietly working their magic, the result of which was finally unveiled on Thursday night. Kultura is a brand new print and social destination for entrepreneurial-minded women – the smart, stylish and sassy younger sister of Gentleman's Journal, if you will. The brainchild of long-time friends Daisy Knatchbull (of Knatchbull on Savile Row) and our very own Harry Jarman, it is a celebration of modern womanhood. And celebrate we did, with a joyous launch party at the recently reopened Roof Gardens in Kensington. Guests, including Candice Lake, Eric Underwood, Sarah Macklin, Hermione Underwood and Luca Faloni, flitted across the shagpile carpet and excitedly flicked through fresh copies of the inaugural issue as they sipped on Tommy's Margaritas, Palomas and Coconut Old Fashioneds, courtesy of Don Julio.
Drinks were followed by an exclusive contributor's dinner of smoked sweet potato tacos, grilled sea bass with lemon and salsa verde, blackened corn-fed chicken with mojo verde and smoked chilli, and plant-based chocolate mousse. Each contributor left with their very own mini bottle of Don Julio 1942 and a magazine (or three) proudly tucked under their arm.
