It was bright, crisp February afternoon when friends and contributors of Gentleman’s Journal gathered at Gymkhana for an intimate get together. Not that the weather was on anyone’s mind once the group was safely ensconced in the members’ club-style basement of the newly revamped Michelin-starred restaurant.

Guests, including James Harvey Kelly, Daisy Knatchbull and Luca Faloni, sipped on Gymkhana’s signature Silver Sip Gimlet while a parade of dishes from the restaurant’s recently refreshed Indian fine dining menu were served. Among the favourites? Delicious Amritsari shrimp and Queenies, Bengali mustard salmon and kid goat methi keema – while only the bravest were tempted to try Gymkhana’s pork cheek vindaloo.
