‘The Aston Martin Of The Seas’ – Hunton Powerboat

Another glorious day in London and another excuse to bask in the sunshine. That said, however, we can’t help but start to dream about heading out of the city on a day like today. Don’t get us wrong, we love being in London in the summer, but we all know that too much of a good thing can be less than desirable, plus how long is the weather ever likely to hold? Instead we’re thinking of a seriously worthwhile investment in one of our favourite boys toys – a Hunton Poweroat.

Established in 1979 by Jeff Hunton, an offshore powerboat racer, Hunton are one of the top bespoke British manufacturers of high-performance, luxury powerboats. They operate from their original site in Hampshire, where all the boats are still made today. Each luxurious Hunton powerboat is uniquely hand-built to order and customers are able to work with the design team to commission a boat that is truly unique to them. Blending state of the art technology with beautiful traditional craftsmanship this is the kind of luxury that lasts a lifetime.

In October last year, Hunton launched in the US, following brands such as Aston Martin and Range Rover in the bid to bring luxury British goods to the US marketplace. Their new 52-foot cruiser, combining speeds of up to 65 knots with ultimate luxury and a wealth of interior options, will be unveiled later this year and something tells us that this definitely going to be something to look out for. The timeless elegance, exquisite finishes and seductive power of Hunton has got us lamenting over exactly how we’ll be spending our summer – ideally somewhere with crystal clear waters, bleached white sand and permanent sunshine – cote d’azur anyone?
