Bespoke shirt making sits at the core of Budd’s craftsmanship. Since 1910, Budd has presided over Piccadilly Arcade for over a century and is one of the few remaining Jermyn Street shirtmakers to have a cutting room on the premises, keeping the heritage of British shirtmaking alive. Taking the venture forward, without jeopardising its bespoke offering, Budd launched its online store this month. Celebrating this move, Head Cutter John Butcher, who has been with the company for forty five years, has also bought the stores classic shirts, which have remained unchanged since the 1940s, forward in terms of style with the new Budd ‘slim line’ cut to give Britain’s modern day gent more options when it comes to looking well-groomed. We’ve got our eyes, not only on the shirts, but the cotton nightwear too.
