See the world in one month on a ‘flying cruise’

Pack your suitcase - and empty your wallet. It’s time to see the world…

From blue lagoons to Bedouin camps, the splendour of the New Zealand landscape to the wonders down under. from Jaipur’s pink palaces and the Taj Mahal to Bora Bora, Abu Dhabi and Hollywood itself. There are hundreds of iconic destinations on Earth – and simply not enough time to see them all.

But a high-end travel company are giving it a good shot. For the first time, you are able to book a month-long ‘flying cruise’, and spend 29 days zooming about the planet to see the greatest places the world has to offer. But before you pack your suitcase, you’ll have to empty your wallet – the experience will set you back an eye-watering $159,000 per person.

This pays for a private jet that whisks you around the world, with the ‘Around the World: Iconic Sights’ flying cruise – run by Crystal Cruises subsidiary AirCruises – stopping at destinations including Easter Island, Uluru, Lhasa, Jaipur, Victoria Falls and Prague – among others.

Your plane is no ordinary cruiser, either. A modified Boeing 777, the occupancy has been whittled down from its original 350 to just 84. The plane features 84 lie-flat beds, a separate dining room with dedicated on-board chef, a full wine cellar and the highest staff-to-customer ration anywhere above the clouds.

Also on-board are complimentary Bose noise cancelling headphones and iPads, WiFi, luxury in-flight bedding, state-of-the-art entertainment systems, a stand up bar and ‘sky butlers’. What more could you want from a flight?

And, when you do land, the company have also invested in a fleet of Rolls Royces to ferry you around, and helicopters to take you to the destinations that lack a runway that can facilitate a Boeing.

So, if you’ve got a group of six friends, and a million dollars burning a hole in your pocket, what better way to spend it than gazing out across Andean landscapes and Himalayan plateau. Discover Prague’s contemporary art scene. Drift through the Mekong Delta, the “rice basket” of Vietnam. Listen to the dreaming stories of Anangu people in Uluru and zip-line over the Domaine reserve in Mauritius. Simply put, take the trip of a lifetime.
