Restaurants – Monty’s

Monty’s is a neighbourhood restaurant, with a cosy and intimate vibe and a local, fun clientele. Based in London’s Fitzrovia area, its location is ideal for anyone working or living in central London.

But it’s the food that’s the real draw. Italian at its very best is what Monty’s promises, and boy oh boy does it deliver. Calamari was wonderfully fresh and crispy, while a buratta oozed creamy flavour. Courgette flowers stuffed with ricotta were some of the finest of their kind we’ve ever had in London.

Then onto mains. The crab pasta had just the right amount of kick while ragu was rich, deep and hearty. To finish we had an authentically punchy tiramisu.

Service was friendly and enthusiastic, if a little chaotic, and the Italian sparkling wine we were served was absolutely delicious – fresh, crisp and cheerful. Monty’s is a lovely restaurant, full of authentic produce sourced from small Italian suppliers or, like the pasta, made in-house and fresh each day.
