Power – Morgan’s Limited edition Bicycle

A recent Evening Standard article showed an expected growth of 9% in web advertising by 2014. There is no doubt that the internet is leading the way and there is one unexpected company that is embracing this change full on. The ultimate traditional Morgan Motor Company, who are better known for wooden car frames and hand-built sports cars, than e-commerce websites and social media. Nevertheless, Charles Morgan (a descendent of the firms founder, HFS Morgan) has proudly launched the brand’s first online shop. Products include a range of Morgan accessories, but our favourite is the seriously cool Morgan Two Bicycle.

In true Morgan style, it’s a combination of the best of British, the light weight frame has been made by London firm Foffa, whilst the hand-stitched saddle, handle bar grips and tool bag are courtesy of the iconic British brand Brooks.

Each of the 50 bikes being produced are being assembled by Malvern Cycles at a factory very close to the Morgan premises.

Other luxury brands should follow Morgan’s example, as they have shown how one brand can keep to its roots, whilst moving with the times.
