Go 10 Minutes Without Touching Your Phone and Provide 1 Day of Clean Water for a Child

, Can you abstain from using your phone for people that need something they actually cannot go without.. water. This is exactly the challenge presented by UNICEF’s Tap Project.

“We think we can’t live without our phones, so why not use them to provide something people actually can’t live without: clean water,” UNICEF’s Tap Project asks.

The organisation have created an app that when downloaded (free) will time how long you can go without using your phone. For every 10 minutes you abstain, a child is provided with water for one day. And don’t worry, the time doesn’t stop if you get text messages or incoming calls, as long as you don’t respond! These monetary donations for you NOT using your phone are coming from Giorgio Armani fragrances and other donors.

The project runs until March 31.
