Majestic, stately and refined, ROMEA is a yacht like no other

Step aboard this state-of-the-art Terence Tisdale-designed megayacht, offered for charter through Imperial Yachts

RoMEA is smooth — in every sense of the word. In her looks, she epitomises the ideals of effortless luxury. With her power, she achieves an evasive blend of swiftness, grace and stability. To us, this makes her the ultimate megayacht; a waterborne bastion of class and tranquility.

Designed by sought-after naval architect Terence Tisdale, RoMEA’s simple yet sophisticated lines look equally at home cruising open waters as they do calmly navigating Scandinavian fjords or anchored at voguish Riviera ports. And these sweeping external designs are only the beginning.

Step aboard and you’ll find yourself transported to a new level of aesthetic refinement. Tisdale’s eye can also be seen inside the yacht — the designer lending his considerable talents to both the exterior and interior design of RoMEA, who is now available to charter through Imperial Yachts.

From grand saloons to elegant lounges, the 82-metre megayacht boasts areas fit for every mood and function. Yet, despite the larger spaces for entertaining sitting beside intimate refuges, every room and cabin flows into the next with a sense of balanced serenity — a testament to Tisdale’s talents.

Much of this consistency can be attributed to RoMEA’s exotic, exclusive decoration. On board, fine bronze fittings are intertwined with panels of glass, expert stonework is employed to bring texture to rooms and furniture is meticulously crafted from rich leather and tropical woods. And these fabrics blend together to speak the common language of RoMEA, joining the vessel’s cabins and corridors to create a smooth, lyrical environment in which to relax.

It’s a language that translates across a collection of dining areas, saloons, bedrooms, studies and even a cinema — not to mention pools, sundecks, observation decks and an al fresco dining area complete with barbecue.

Completed in 2015 by renowned German shipyard Abeking & Rasmussen, Imperial supervised the build and acted as owner’s representative during the whole production process, before becoming RoMEA’s manager and charter central agent. She has a cruising speed of 14 knots and an quietly impressive range of almost 6,000 nautical miles. Not only that, the amenities on board afford guests a comfortable home-from-home.

Not only can you catch the latest blockbusters on the aforementioned cinema, but you can also sharpen up your musical skills on the grand piano, detox in the Finnish sauna or visit the onboard oasis that is the Bridge deck spa.

The water toy-box is also well-stocked. If relaxing isn’t your thing, why not hop aboard the 5.9-metre sports tender, 8.5-metre beach lander or 9.6-metre limousine to explore the local area? Or stay closer to RoMEA’s sleek hull, and sail the on-board Laser Pico sailboat, water ski or take out one of four jet skis.

Whatever you choose, when you finally do retire back to the boat, RoMEA will continue to charm you with her intricate details and decorations. For this is truly where this vessel comes alive — in the bespoke, original works or art and beautiful handcrafted elements. These touches promise to enchant and enthral you during your time on board; elegant, worldly and, above all, smooth.

This summer, RoMEA is cruising the Mediterranean, before sailing off to the Indian Ocean for winter. Click below to find out how you can charter.
