The iPhone 6: Best Phone Ever?

There have been many rumours swirling about the new Apple iPhone 6, no other brand has so much global anticipation and lead up to a new phone release and this latest model is no different. With such stiff competition from Samsung, it remains to be seen whether the iPhone 6 will be the best phone ever but one area it might excel in is the display.

Recently, tech enthusiasts have been speculating about the rumours of Apple using a technology called quantum dots for their state of the art display. Quantum dots are nanocrystals made from semiconductors, are are of interest to manufacturers because the special effect they have when blended with light frequencies. In Laymen’s terms, this means that the colours in the phone screen will be of a much more superior quality, produced more accurately on a much wider spectrum.

Interesting, Amazon already use quantum dots in their Kindle Fire HDX tablets, but the display that Apple are apparently producing will take this technology even further. Watch this space…
