Introducing the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Geographic WT

A watch to help you play the world’s 24 time zones like a grand piano

They say that the final luxury is time. It can’t be bought and you can’t get it back. But if you know how to play the time zones correctly you can get more out of your 24 hours than the rest of us.

To help keep track of where you are in these time zones the superlative watch house, Jaeger-LeCoultre have released the Polaris Geographic WT (for World Timer). This watch will quickly and easily display the time in any of the 24 time zones around the world as you flit between them yourself.

The three sub-dials showing power reserve (top left), date (top right) and the second time zone (bottom).

Not only will this timepiece allow you to keep track of two separate time zones — the second time zone being displayed in the sub-dial at 6 o’clock — also gives you a day/night indication on a ring on the outside of the dial.

This comes in handy when you need to know what time of day (or night) you’ll be stepping off the jet when it lands.

To go along with this model’s endless functionality it has a classicly stylish finish — classically stylish is the only way the Gande Maison knows how to make watches.

Marrying the two colours utilised in the Polaris collection, dark blue and black, the end result combines a chic feel with a sporty fit. As the lugs seem to curve perfectly to the wrist so an active wearer will barely notice it as he hops from continent to continent.

The one detail that should not be missed on this watch is the finishing. As ever with Jaeger-LeCoultre it is impeccably done. With three different finishing techniques exhibited here, not only making the watch look beautiful but adding different textures in the sub-dials helps with the legibility.

Creating perfect watches is something Jaeger-LeCoultre are used to doing now, but this time they’ve made one for the whole world. However, getting your hands on one might prove tricky as only 250 are being made. We strongly recommend a pre-order on this one. It goes on sale in Jule with price on application.
