Introducing: the stunning and unique Drive de Cartier

Throughout the design process, there was a specific gentleman in mind: the pioneer, the driver, the entrepreneur

The beauty of each and every Cartier watch is that there are elements of design that make each timepiece instantly recognisable as belonging to the iconic French house. Where that’s the distinct use of roman numerals in the place of numbers, the cushion-shaped case or the dome crystal. Cartier always comes a cut above the expected when it comes to watchmaking, and the Drive de Cartier is perhaps one of their most beautiful timepieces yet – and that’s saying something.

As far as timeless Cartier horology goes, this piece is relatively new. Launched at SIHH in Geneva earlier this year, the piece has seen huge success with businessmen, first time investors and watch collectors alike.

Introducing: the stunning and unique Drive de Cartier

Whether this is an investment piece that you buy to wear every single day, or a special occasion dress watch that you wear once in a blue moon, you’ll forever be the most elegant gentleman in any room, in any situation. From the pink gold or steel case, to the black, grey or white guilloché dial marked by Roman numerals, to the sword-shaped hands that Cartier is so famed for, this is a truly standout piece.

The transparent case-back reveals the Manufacture Movement 1904 MC, which is available in two versions: the 1904-PS MC which tells the hours, minutes, and small seconds and date; and the 1904-FU MC which features a second time zone, a day/night indicator, a large date and small seconds. It also goes without saying that the watch is designed with the Cartier Manufacture: it boasts a flying tourbillon 9452 MC and, of course, a “Poinçon de Genève” certification.

Throughout the design process, there was a specific gentleman in mind: the pioneer, the driver, the entrepreneur. This is the gentleman who carves his own path, who’s never determined by the road anyone else has taken and is driven by his own passion to innovate and to disrupt.
