Introducing A. Lange and Söhne’s limited edition 1 Time Zone

With a case crafted from resilient 18-carat 'honey gold', this is the sweetest watch you'll see all week

In 1994, Walter Lange showcased his horological family’s first new watch since the end of World War II. That watch was the Lange 1, and now, it has had a serious upgrade.

To celebrate 22 successful years since the first product launch – a time during which Lange has become one of the most respected and coveted brands in the watch world – the company have revealed a limited run of the Lange 1 Time Zone in ‘honey gold’.

With a 72 hour power reserve and movement built on German silver, the Lange 1 has an offset dial and is complimented by a ‘big date’ complication activated by the pusher at 10 o’clock.

The chronograph in the watch has always been designed and built in-house, and a peripheral city ring makes it possible to set the zone times with pushbutton convenience.

The new, celebratory case, adds a little something extra to the heritage of this excellent watch. Harder than other gold alloys, the exclusive ‘honey gold’ material from which the case is crafted is 18-carat and has a diameter of 41.9 milimetres.

Limited to 100 watches, the Lange 1 Time Zone is available exclusively in the brand’s 17 boutiques around the world, from Turin to Tokyo.
