Inside the finest golf resort hotel in Dubai

The JA Palm Tree Court hotel is set within the JA Jebel Ali Golf Resort

Tucked away in beautifully landscaped gardens, and with a very low-key feel, there is no better place to stay in Dubai than the JA Palm Tree Court. Low-rise buildings keep things traditional, and every single room on the premises is a Junior Suite – with either sea or garden views. So take a look inside this luxury hotel, the perfect base of operations from which to take in either the dynamic city of Dubai or the warm lapping shores of UAE.

Set slightly out of the city, and in the same grounds as the older JA Jebel Ali Beach Hotel, the resort is 20 minutes to Dubai Marina; and 40 minutes to Dubai International Airport. Quiet and secluded, with none of Dubai’s skyscrapers to block your view of the natural vistas, the resort overlooks the as-yet unfinished Palm Jebel Ali island, and is peaceful and tranquil.

The hotel itself boasts 208 suites – all with balconies or terraces and air conditioning. Streams, waterfalls and a pride of peacocks are all scattered throughout this resort, and fresh interiors with high ceilings, large windows and neutral shades compliment the laidback luxury vibe.

On site, there are several restaurants, including a breakfast buffet at all-day dining restaurant, La Fontana, which serves an excellent variety of hot and cold dishes. The White Orchid restaurant, which serves predominantly Japanese cuisine, with some Thai and Chinese dishes, is excellent. The specials are crafted perfectly, and the drinks menu is second to none in complimenting the dishes. Desert is a particular delight.

It’s an all-encompassing resort, and guests can use the pool and beach area exclusive to Palm Tree Court to their leisure. Three pools, four tennis courts, gym with squash, badminton and table tennis, stables and a fantastic watersports and dive centre make sure you won’t have a dull moment in Dubai, and seaplane tours and fishing trips depart from the marina regularly.

But the jewel in the crown of this resort is definitely the nine-hole golf course, which has hosted the likes of Tiger Woods and Nick Faldo – and is arguably where you’ll play the best golf in the Gulf.

Stays at JA Palm Tree Court start from AED 630 (approx. £133) including taxes and service, per room per night, based on two sharing on a room only basis.
