As the year draws to a close, and the racing season slows to a gentle canter, last Thursday Cartier invited the great and the good of the horse racing world to the Annabel’s for an intimate dinner. In this sumptuous setting, it was an opportunity to celebrate those who have stood out from the pack this year, before next month’s Cartier Racing Awards.
With the likes of Frankie Dettori, Victoria Pendleton and Jack Guinness in attendance, the dinner served as a precursor to the 28th annual awards, which will be presented at a glittering ceremony before an invited audience of 300 at the Dorchester Hotel, London, England, on the evening of Tuesday, November 13.
The dinner was a roaring success, with the Berkley Square hotspot abuzz with talk of the season that has passed — and predictions about who will take home the coveted Horse of the Year next month.
