It’s going to be crude, immature and chaotic – but that’s what we love about the Rogen-Franco partnership. The latest venture the duo has embarked on is hitting the big screens in October and features similar ridiculous hilarity we witnessed in Pineapple Express and This is the End.
THE INTERVIEW is an action-comedy in which Dave Skylark (James Franco) and Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) take on a bizarre assignment: the assassination of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un.
Skylark and Rapoport run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show ‘Skylark Tonight’, when, much to their surprise, they discover that Kim Jong-un is a fan of the show. In an attempt to legitimise themselves as journalists and boost their reputations, they manage to land an interview with the tyrannical leader, but as they prepare to travel to Pyongyang, their plans take a violent twist as the CIA intervenes. And so their anarchic undercover mission begins…
Sure to be laugh-out-loud, head-rocking-back-and-forth funny, four months is about four months longer than we want to wait, but here’s the trailer to whet your appetite.
