Last night saw Royal Ballet soloist Eric Underwood attend the glamorous Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition Preview Party in an incredibly dapper Chester Barrie ‘Eastleigh’ jacket from the Spring Summer 2017 collection.
Choosing to pair this formal Savile Row shawl lapel look with a pair of crisp white trainers, he certainly had heads turning in what was a perfectly modernised update on a timeless classic.

The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition was established over 200 years ago with the soul purpose being able to raise funds for the art schools; and it is still to this day considered a highlight on London’s summer events calendar. The preview never fails to draw in a highly respected crowd from the arts and entertainment world, so it was only natural for a key performer such as Underwood to grace the preview party with his presence.
Eric Underwood is an American British performer, originating from the American Ballet Theatre where he performed in ballets such as Swan Lake, La Bayadère and Cinderella. However, since becoming a soloist with the Royal Ballet in 2008, he has continued to build an impressive repertory in Britain that includes lead roles in Manon, Anastasia, Homage to The Queen and Tales of Beatrix Potter.
