This week, we’re feeling blue. Not emotionally, of course; with the sun coming out and temperatures rising, we’re practically jumping for summer joy. But, this week, the products that have piqued Gentleman’s Journal’s collective interest — from a pair of striking new sneakers to a film festival-inspired watch — happen to all be coloured in the bluest of hues.

Lace up: Church’s CH873 Sneakers
Featuring an ultralight sole bearing the brand logo, CH873 – an acronym of the first letters of the brand name and the year it was created – the newest sneakers from Church’s see the shoe cast in a whole new blue colour. Made with weathered leather and anthracite grey sole, they’ll be available from July 2019. We can’t wait.
Fly high: Range Rover Astronaut Edition
Available only to members of the Virgin Galactic Future Astronaut community — now there’s an exclusive club — this latest car by Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations features unique Zero Gravity Blue paint, aluminium door handles with a Future Astronaut community constellation design and a custom cup holder crafted from the spaceship’s front landing skid. It’s out of this world.
Button it: Luca Faloni Portofino Midnight Blue Linen Shirt
The Italian brand’s signature linen shirt, the Portofino is the perfect piece of summer wear — and something every discerning gent should be buttoning up this year. Expect pure linen, mother of pearl buttons and a paramontura collar for a lasting shape and overall classic look.
Flame on: Tom Daxon Sous Les Glycines Candle
If you’re looking to add a little ambience and atmosphere to your home, there’s no brand better to turn to than Tom Daxon. With three scents to choose from their range, we’d go for Sous Les Glycines — with notes of bergamot, wisteria, jasmine and rose.
Buckle down: Chopard L.U.C XPS Azur
Cannes is a glamorous affair. And Chopard, in their official capacity as partner of the film festival, are celebrating the event this year with the launch of an azure version of their ultra-thin L.U.C XPS model. With a handsome blue dial, 18k ethical gold case and COSC certified movement, it earns that Poinçon de Genève seal several times over.
On your bike: State Bicycle Co. 4130 Road Bicycle
This stateside bicycle manufacturer has caught our eye of late. With timeless designs enhanced by modern engineering and detailing, none of their models are better than the 4130 Road. It’s built on the brand’s signature double-butted 4130 Chromoly frame, boasts a highly-responsive classic 8-speed down tube shifting — and comes in a classic red, white and blue design.
Turn it up: Ruark Audio X LINLEY Tempo Radio
Linley are kings of British design. Ruark are kings of audio design. So, when the two announced a collaboration, we turned up to 11 with excitement. The result, this Tempo Bluetooth radio, is beautiful. Each of those marquetry inlays you see is composed from four different veneers — and have been inspired by audio soundwaves and the graphic scales of 20th century artists.
Knives out: Nesmuk Janus Steak Knives
As barbecue season edges ever closer, you should be doing a thorough inventory check on your cutlery drawer. Shaken, not stirred: Orlebar Brown + 007 A View To A Kill Bomber Jacket
This week, Gentleman’s Journal headed out to Lake Como to debut Orlebar Brown’s exciting new James Bond collection. Building on their previous swim short collaboration, this time they’ve introduced shirts and jackets. And this, a recreation of Roger Moore’s bomber from ‘A View To A Kill’, is cut from navy cotton-terry and features contrasting white piping across the shoulders to broaden your frame.
