Last night the iconic No 1 Savile Row was teeming with a host of dapper gentleman and glamorous girls alike, who had all come to celebrate The Gentleman’s Journal Autumn issue launch party.
Hosted in collaboration with Gieves & Hawkes at their flagship store, it was the perfect space for such an event, as London’s finest gentlemen mingled from bar to main hall in amongst smoking jackets and satin ties.
Waiters in Bates bowler hats kept the drinks flowing as guests sipped on sparkling wine from Nyetimber and vodka cocktails courtesy of Chase Vodka. Guests were given the opportunity to win a luxury gentleman’s hamper from Fortnum and Mason, which one lucky guest will be the winner of when names are drawn on Monday morning.
As our very own Editor-in-Chief Harry Jarman gave a wonderful speech (dressed in a stunning midnight blue dinner jacket from Gieves & Hawkes). Harry introduced Tom Hunt, son of racing car driver James Hunt, as our Motoring Editor, as well as providing guests with a sneak preview into our latest e-commerce venture which is set to launch imminently
Whilst Downton Abbey’s Daisy Lewis was seen chatting to Perdita Weeks, house hold name Bill Nighy took a copy of the magazine. Vanity Fair’s Henry Porter, and rower and model Victoria Thornley were also in attendance.
As the evening drew to a close, merry guests reluctantly spilled out of No 1 (gift bags in hand) and onto 5 Hertford Street where they partied into the early hours of this morning with the likes of Jamie Hince, Kate Moss and David Tang.
