DIARY: Christie’s Curates Launch Party

Last week saw a thoroughly cool crowd from the world of art attend Christie’s for the opening night and private viewing of the hotly anticipated Christie’s Curates Launch Party. Hosted by the four curators, Milo Dickinson, Tancredi Massimo di Roccasecca, Bianca Chu and Alina Brezhneva, guests from all corners of London sipped on delicious Spitfire cocktails in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and the upcoming sale of the finest restored Mark 1 Sptifire at Christie’s on 9 July.

With music filling the room over the chattering of guests and artwork, each hour the DJ would play the sound of a roar of a Spitfire flying overhead, keeping guests alert the whole night through! Guests included visiting young artists James Balmforth and Harry Sanderson as well as Christie’s Global President Jussi Pylkannen. Others in attendance included artist Phoebe Dickinson with husband Luke Rodgers and art dealer Simon Dickinson.
