Crockett and Jones AW14 Collection

For Autumn/Winter 2014, esteemed Northampton shoemakers, Crockett and Jones, are introducing innovative new styles alongside tried-and-tested classics, the likes of which have helped to define them over their 135 year existence.

Crockett & Jones take pride in the fact that all of their shoes are made in England, and their dedication to quality is immediately obvious whenever you pick up one of their shoes. What separates this famous brand though is their incredible attention to detail, and this is particularly noticeable in their AW14 collection.

Covering all grounds, Crockett & Jones have introduced two new sleek shoes in the form of the Belmont and Hoxton, which feature smooth, minimal lines and city-ready leather soles.

The Northamptonshire brand are renowned for their made-for-life brogues, but they may have just taken that moniker a step further. The Pembroke features heavy punching detail, contrast brown laces, a double rubber sole and a navy Scotch Grain leather finish, giving it instant character that will only get better with age. Its cousin, the Cheviot II though, boasts long-wing brogueing, an exclusive burgundy Cordovan finish and a practically indestructible storm welted double sole.

Our favourite shoe of the collection though, has to be the Harrogate. This toe-capped monk shoe is undeniably stunning, perfectly fusing boardroom-ready smarts with country-inspired heritage design. Its tan Scotch grain leather will develop a lustrous patina through wear and its storm welt will ensure it’s as hard-wearing and durable as anything else on the market. Arguably its most important feature though is its Dainite rubber sole, which provides the all-important grip that’s essential throughout the wet and windy autumn and winter months.
