Win an autumn bundle of Mulberry’s signature British bags
From a handsome holdall to a robust, textured leather backpack, we’re celebrating the British brand’s new season collection with a competition…
Whether it’s a piece of the luxury British label’s tactile outerwear, or one of the homegrown brand’s world-renowned travel bags, Mulberry has been creating adaptable, adjustable and unwaveringly brilliant bags since it first zipped into being in 1971. And, this year, the brand’s ‘Wild Within’ campaign calls back to the folkloric heritage of Somerset.
This rolling county is where the brand was founded. And, created in collaboration with photographer Tom Johnson and stylist Harry Lambert, this latest leafy, countryside campaign celebrates the brand’s enduring dual identity; sitting its modern designs and bold colours against the heritage-heavy rural backdrop of Britain.
Among the many new season pieces exhibited and celebrated, you’ll find Mulberry’s new ‘Softie Outerwear’ collection. It’s a capsule comprising eight different designs, including jackets, a gilet and two coats. Genderless, each piece chimes with Mulberry’s ‘Made to Last’ ethos; padding its distinctive puffy quilting with recycled silk, and crafting its outers from recycled nylon.
But it is bags that have always formed Mulberry’s cornerstone — a constant bedrock of fashion-meets-function for everyone from city commuters to jet-setting adventurers. And, to celebrate this legacy of luggage, Gentleman’s Journal has teamed up with the British brand to offer a bundle of its most useful, faithful bags.
From a wallet and a wash case to Mulberry’s most highly-regarded holdall, we’re offering one lucky reader the chance to win five different styles — with a value totalling £3,660.
The ‘Medium Clipper’ in Black Eco Scotchgrain
If Mulberry’s bag collection is the cornerstone of the brand, then the cornerstone of that collection is this; the quintessential ‘Clipper’. In beautifully textured Eco-scotchgrain (crafted from innovated Bio-Synthetic materials, repurposing inedible cereal waste into a hard-wearing, lightweight material that looks and feels the same as the original textured leather), and complemented with smooth calfskin trim, this is as timeless as travel bags come, and will remain your go-to grab-bag for years to come.
It’s got everything you could ever want from a handsome holdall. There are small metal feet on the base of the bag, ensuring it won’t be damaged when you set it down. There’s an eco-lined cotton interior to protect whatever you may pack. And there’s a detachable canvas shoulder strap if you’re heading off in a hurry.

The ‘Utility Postman's Buckle Backpack’ in Chestnut
It’s a similarly sturdy story elsewhere. From the ‘City’ to the ‘Chiltern’, each of the British brand’s backpacks are engineered to be as elegant as they are ergonomic — and none more so than this ‘Utility Postman’s’ piece. Cut from heavy grain leather, and with a design flanked by handy bottle compartments, it makes for a stellar travelling companion.
And the best part? That buckle. A new debut from Mulberry, this ‘Postman’s Buckle’ is a striking update to the brand’s iconic ‘Postman’s Lock’, and now features a buckle release function within its compact, striking silver case. Pair that with a suede lining and similarly silvered D-ring on the strap, and you’ve got a backpack that’ll last a lifetime.

The ‘Utility Postman's Buckle Crossbody’ in Uniform
The compact crossbody bag has seen a remarkable rise in popularity of late. Roomier than your wallet, but less bulky than a backpack, this ‘Utility Postman’s Buckle Crossbody’ features that same engraved, quick-release buckle and silver D-ring as the bag above — but at a functional fraction of the size.
In a versatile green-grey shade the brand has dubbed ‘Uniform’, this handy bag will pair with virtually any outfit or ensemble you throw together — and that makes it the ideal candidate for everyday use. It’ll soon become your signature accessory and, with two internal compartments, a slip pocket and microfibre lining, we can think of few better choices.

The ‘8 Card Wallet’ in Oak
Less a piece of luggage — and more of an everyday essential — a faithful wallet is still as vital an accessory as a fine watch. And Mulberry has been cutting luxury purses, pouches and credit card slips since before you even started spending. This ‘8 Card Wallet’ is a classic for good reason; designed from durable leather and bearing a discreet Mulberry tree motif.
Flip it open and you’ll find eight neatly-cut, Nappa-lined credit or business card slots, two cash sleeves, and two hidden compartments for receipts or notes. And, in a versatile mid-brown ‘Oak’ colour, it’ll slip stylishly and straightforwardly into whatever pocket you choose.

The ‘Wash Case’ in Mole & Cognac Printed Eco Scotchgrain
The final of the five pieces in our Mulberry bag bundle is this; a wash case. Often overlooked by even the most seasoned of travellers, a dependable washbag will ensure you maintain a feeling of freshness wherever you are in the world. And Mulberry, true to form, has applied its usual attention to detail to this durable design.
There’s a convenient handle stitched to one end — cut from flat calf leather. There’s a waterproof lining to guarantee your various lotions, serums and suncreams remain safely away from your clothes. And that ‘Mole’ Eco Scotchgrain is made from recombined Bio-Plastic materials. Finished with a robust zip, it’s an explorer’s essential.
