You’ve heard it in the news, on a global scale the rich are getting richer and the gap is widening between the super rich and everyone else. The Forbes 28th Annual Guide to the World’s Richest People has thrown up some interesting facts and figures as well. Bill Gates is back on top after four years as number two to Carlos Slim, half of the world’s richest are in the US (and 80% of the Top 10), there is now a representative from every continent except Antarctica in the Top 50 and there are a record number of female billionaires, 172 to be exact. Notably, there are also 268 newcomers who have made the infamous list. Other interesting facts to surface from the Forbes Billionaire list include:
