The bottomless brunch every man needs on his radar

This is Saturday brunch like you've never had it before

Brunch in London has become somewhat of a rite of passage over the last few years, with every establishment offering endless streams of eggs Benedict and avocado on toast, it’s becoming seemingly difficult to stand out from the crowd. Menus hardly vary and whilst all of them offer exactly what you want to devour on an often hungover Saturday or Sunday morning, there’s no doubting that it’s all become a bit too identical.

That was all before the Bottomless Brunch launched at OXBO Bankside. OXBO is located on the ground floor of the recently launched 5 star Hilton Bankside hotel, offering a delicious all-dining menu under the helm of Executive Chef, Paul Bates.

Forget any preconceptions you have of brunch, as OXBO is totally reinventing the wheel with a three course brunch format, which really feels more like breakfast, lunch and dinner all rolled into one.

Live acoustic performances accompany the brunch setting, which adds an upbeat ambience to the large space. A rather loud atmosphere, it’s definitely the place for celebrations with friends, perhaps before going out that evening, as opposed to intimate catch ups.

OXBO’s open kitchen host a live waffle and egg station as your first port of call. The chef’s team will rustle up anything you desire from eggs Benedict, eggs Royale, three egg omelettes, waffles and pancakes – think of this as your brunch entrée. Once that has been polished off, sharing plates including fillet of veal and sea bass are presented for you to share with your fellow diners – this may seem like a lot of food but the portion sizes are just right. To finish you can then head up to the Chef’s Traders Table for a range of fruit, pastries and dessert.

‘Bottomless Bubbles’ is part of the theme so if you opt for that, good quality champagne will be flowing throughout your visit. However, if you’re not looking for anything that heavy then fresh juices and coffee will accompany your meal perfectly.

Brunch is priced at £28 per person for 3 courses and a glass of bubbles. Alternatively, guests have the option of upgrading to ‘Bottomless Bubbles’ at a cost of £40.

Unlike any other brunch I had experienced before, OXBO is taking it to a new level. This is the perfect setting and environment for a big birthday celebration with friends or for kicking off a lively weekend. The combination of live music, the array of different cuisines and ‘Bottomless Bubbles’ makes it the perfect destination for the gentleman looking to start Saturday night early, and eat incredibly well whilst doing so.
