Domaine de Valmoissine 2014 Louis Latour, Pinot Noir
France (13.5% Volume)
It is not usual that a good Pinot Noir comes from the Vars region, near the south-eastern Mediterranean coast. However, Louis Latour, who are renowned for producing fantastic Burgundies, have succeeded with the Domain de Valmoissine. This wine has a velvety smooth texture, is full of lively fruit aromas, think ripe cherry and strawberry fruits. It has a supple tannins and medium acidity. All of this leads to an elegant and rounded finish. This wine is great with everything from Sunday roasts, cheeses and dried meats. £11.69 at Majestic.

Oyster Bay Chardonnay 2015 Malborough
New Zealand (13% Volume)
This is known as the benchmark for New Zealand Chardonnay. Located at the north tip of the South Island, the climate is ideal for grape growing. Oyster Bay uses a combination of both oak and stainless steel barrels to achieve the amazing balance of this Chardonnay. Pure ripe fruit flavours are married together with aromas of ripe citrus and stone fruit, whilst the subtle oak taste and creamy texture create the smooth finish. £8.99 at Majestic.
