As a member of the world’s largest private capital group in the marine industry, Benetti is always one to watch. They have launched their newest motor-yacht, My Paradis – the first of three 108 foot Tradition Supreme yachts, which will officially debut at the Cannes Yacting Festival 2014, which runs 9-14th September.
Benetti was founded in 1873, and is the oldest Italian yard building luxury motor yachts in the world. Synonymous with Italian style and a classic elegance that is timeless, Benetti has the world’s highest rate of growth among luxury motor yacht builders. Every Benetti yacht is unique, designed around her owner’s needs, specifications and preferences, making your yachting experience incredibly personal.
My Paradis concurs with Benetti’s unique design ethos, with plenty of options for customisation and choice within furnishings and decor. Comprised of three decks and a sun deck, My Paradis has so much to offer. The sun deck is the focal point of the boat, with a Jacuzzi, a dining table for 10 in the centre, soft sun pad seating towards the stern and a sofa with forward-facing storage. With both an internal and external access point, the sun deck has maximum privacy. The exteriors were designed by Stefano Righini, who also incorporated a sky lounge with windows on three sides and a Turkish bath with an incredible skylight into the other decks.
Moving to the interiors, careful consideration has been paid to the walls which have been lined with varying thicknesses of decking arranged in what seems like a random pattern, but is actually very deliberate. This creates an unusual 3D effect that plays with light and shadows, accentuating the spacious design. There are also strategically placed LEDs to recreate this effect after sundown.
When it comes to the main deck, tradition meets innovation. The area that is normally devoted solely to dining has been integrated with the salon, creating a single open space with both a lounge and bar area. The deck’s full-height windows not only offer incredible, uninterrupted views of the open water but also allow for light to flood the inside space. The exterior washboard matches the glass height perfectly, pretty much eliminating any kind of barrier between the interior and the open water.
The engine room has seen some noteworthy innovation, with a new hybrid system that allows you to navigate in combination with the traditional main engines, as well as two 35kW electric motors. These are powered by generators, which allows navigation up to a speed of 6 knots. The only source of propulsion are the onboard generators, which minimise the noise and vibration for a much more comfortable cruise. These innovative technical elements place My Paradis at the top of the yachting food chain.
My Paradis accommodates 12 guests in absolute luxury, with four VIP cabins on the lower deck. Bathrooms have been completed with 100% mosaic showers. The owner’s apartment sits on the main deck at full beam.
