Belstaff AW14 collection revs up for Winter

We’ve always appreciated Belstaff’s commitment to producing quality, rugged menswear and staying true to their brand ethos. Their clothing ranges tend to be diverse but centred around classic garments, which they’ve been producing for decades.

This year is no different, as Belstaff are celebrating the centenary of their establishment in 1924. Rooted in motorsport culture, their heritage shines through in their AW14 collection, which features updated versions of their classic belted jackets to be worn over heavy-knit jumpers and quilted jackets.

A muted palette is maintained throughout, but the deep burgundies, leafy browns and light chestnut tones give the collection some character . The shirt offering for AW14 is impressive too, featuring large check shirts available in flannel and a white oxford shirt in an Italian stretch poplin cotton. But the standout piece is their Gordon jacket, based on the classic Trialmasters of the ’50s, with a contemporary waxed Black Watch tartan check – the perfect a subtle statement piece for this winter.
