There’s an avant garde sweeping through the watch industry at present: luxury quartz and automatic watches at affordable prices. It appears that £100 to £500 is the new price bracket for those in the market for a classic watch with a modern touch.

The graded 316 L stainless steel used for the casing is not only incredibly durable, but it retains its polished look for years. The leather straps from Italy are naturally died to give a lovely consistent colouring that will darken and soften with use, and the sapphire glass offers impeccable clarity and resilience against scratching. And prices start at $150.
It all sounds very attractive. The team running the show have also built an inviting stage to encourage people to get involved. Their social media presence is extensive, and they have garnered a community where people come together and give feedback. The reviews are extremely complimentary. In fact, if there were less I’d be inclined to say that they were fake, but 1,600 people can’t be easily persuaded. They are in unified agreement that Brathwaits are classy and great value for money.
