8 travel photographers on Instagram who’ll have you jumping on the next plane

Live and travel vicariously through these accounts, and their wanderlust-inducing imagery

Another day, another scroll through Instagram. And, amidst the memes and food pics, one of the most jealousy-inducing form of photo is the wanderlust travel snap.

And, while some of us are lucky enough to travel ourselves — for which you’ll undoubtedly need our guide to taking holiday snaps with your smartphone — others of us are stuck behind our desks all day. So, to save your time and sanity, we’ve hand-picked the ultimate list of worthy travel photographers. These are the jet-setters you should be following — no matter where they escape to.

For off-the-beaten track locations: @everchanginghorizon

Chronicling the travels of Quin Schrok, an adventure and lifestyle photographer based out of Southern California and Oahu. Head to this account for the intrepid exploration of off-the-beaten track locations, with plenty of shots of sea and sky.

For style with a little more substance: @arnelle

For good-looking people in good-looking places: @doyoutravel

We aren’t sure where the #couplegoals phenomenon originated from (and we’re not sure why it had to happen), but we have a feeling that it might have been inspired by the Instagram duo behind this account. Jack Morris takes photos with an eye expertly trained to make your 9-5 feel even more painful.

For design-led detailing: @anniset

Brilliantly clever and a feast for the artistic eye, this account features the work of Anna Devís and Daniel Rueda, based out of Valencia. The photos are imaginative and insightful, and span largely across Europe but also take you further afield.

For lust-worthy locations you can really stay at: @somewhereiwouldliketogo

Compiling the best of the best in luxury accommodation across the world, this account is the excuse you were looking for to quit the day job and catch a flight tomorrow. Head to this page if you’re more interested in seeing the spaces than the faces of Insta-travel.

For the ultimate aerial photography: @tommy.clarke

Tommy Clarke takes photos from the sky and looks effortlessly cool whilst he does it. His photos have graced the covers of the Evening Standard and Condé Nast Traveller, so you know he’s got an eye for the winning shot. Oh, and he also likes helicopters and motorbikes. A lot.

For something more conceptual (and lots of ocean): @gabscanu

This is a page designed for perfectly-curated indulgence. It’s a gallery cast in every hue of soothing blue; so deep you’ll want to dive straight into the page. And we wouldn’t blame you.

For inspiration to get out and stay active: @roundtheworldgirl

Elise’s account chronicles her adventures as she skis, climbs and hikes across the globe. This account is refreshingly activity-focused and takes in some beautiful scenery. Scroll through her page for some inspiration to get out and moving in the world.
