The 26th Cartier Racing Awards

Take a look behind the scenes of the world's most prestigious racing awards

Last night, the 26th Cartier Racing Awards took place at The Dorchester Hotel in London. Since 1991, they have been racing’s definitive awards’ ceremony, and this most recent ceremony continued Cartier’s tradition of both substance and style.

As expected, the very best of the horse racing gathered to celebrate the top European horses of 2016. Hosted by the managing director of Cartier, Laurent Feniou, and Cartier’s very own Racing Consultant, the Honourable Harry Herbert, faces included cyclist Victoria Pendleton, jockey Frankie Dettori and sports correspondent Clare Balding. Take a look behind the scenes of the event below.

Laurent Feniou, Managing Director of Cartier UK, said: “Presenting the awards at the 26th Cartier Racing Awards reminded me how many dedicated, hard-working and talented people work in the great sport of horseracing.

“The 2016 Cartier Racing Awards really lived up to their name,” he continued. “They truly are Europe’s horseracing awards – because, beside the Irish successes, there was a French win, a British victory and the first-ever triumph for an American-trained horse.”
