An auction at Sotheby’s London this Thursday 12th February, will offer buyers the unique opportunity to support an extremely important and charitable cause.
FC Barcelona Foundation, Reach Out To Asia and UNICF have formed a remarkable partnership in a combined effort to help vulnerable children in Bangladesh, Indonesia and Nepal gain access to a quality education. The name of the campaign “1 in 11” refers to the statistic of children globally that don’t have access to a proper education; this campaign is working to help improve this.
To aid the project Sotheby’s are holding an exceptional auction where proceeds will go directly to the cause. With specifically commissioned works as well as a number of works that have been donated by renowned international artists, the works on view are all of exception quality.
Particular highlights of the sale include Takashi Murakami’s specifically commissioned work “Lionel Messi and a Universe of Flowers” as well as Damien Hirst’s “Beautiful Messi Spin Painting for One in Eleven”.

A number of both prominent Middle-Eastern artists and renowned international artists have also donated works of art to the cause. Shirin Neshat, Jeff Koons, Richard Serra and Yan Pei-Ming are just a few of the noteworthy artists involved.
