We all have our favourite film characters, whether it be Vito Corleone, Han Solo or Hannibal Lector but have you ever wondered what cocktails these iconic film characters would drink? – We have and we’ve matched up ten iconic characters from film with their (probable) cocktails of choice.
With so much going on in London, it can be a little overwhelming (to say the very least) when trying to work out what you simply have to do/eat/drink or see this summer. Try as we might there simply aren’t enough hours in the day to fit in everything on offer. Luckily for you though, we’ve done the hard work for you and have chosen our top 3 exhibitions to visit this summer…
This morning The Gentleman’s Journal, along with a set of other London based journalists, were invited to the launch of Bang & Olufsen’s brand new product, the mightily impressive BeoVision Avant TV.
Not unlike any training routine, a ‘Cross Fit’ fitness program should only be followed with proper instruction on form, technique and a hawk like attention to detail from those instructing. Unfortunately Cross Fit is there for the masses and as a result, trainers are overwhelmed and outnumbered so are simply unable to spend the time to ensure everyone is training safely and in a goal orientated, minimal risk environment.
The warmer months are an exciting time for menswear. They give us a chance to experiment with different materials and colours in ways that just aren’t possible when it’s pouring down with rain. This notion of course applies to shoes as well, so when choosing your new pair of wheels for the summer, be sure to think outside the box in order to make a statement that’s worth talking about.
Gentlemanly acts can materialise from all creatures of all shapes and sizes. The latest gentleman is this cat who turned global superstar after he saved a young boy from a vicious dog. The clip was uploaded by Roger Triantafilo, father of a boy who was riding his bike in his driveway when he was attacked
An exciting new release out of the Christopher Ward camp. In celebration of their 10th anniversary, the watch brand has gone ‘back to the future’ in creating a beautiful new watch, the C5 Malvern Slimline, inspired by the iconic first ever Christopher Ward watch, the C5 Malvern Automatic.
The name’s Bond, James Bond, whether an adequate replacement to those who stood before him or not, we think it’s fair to say that despite being a blonde, Daniel Craig took on the challenge well. There is no denying that whoever has played Bond has walked off set with some Bond-esqe qualities for themselves, from sex appeal to manliness and, of course, morphing into an icon of style. Daniel Craig, is no exception. We take a look at a few of his favourite styles and give you the 411 on how to recreate a few of the said looks.
As far as catastrophically huge, all-encompassing mansions go, Englefield Green in Egham is pretty darn impressive. It’s so big that it practically has its own gravitational force, with its many number of surrounding buildings circling it like moons would a large planet.

Tight in the right places, loose at the best points, with the perfect number of pockets – not too Harry Styles skinny, or too 90s skater-boy baggy. Holidaymakers coming to Saint Tropez are spoiled for choice vis-à-vis the selection of accommodation, with St Tropez House offering a large range of luxury villas from villas a stone’s throw from Club 55 to more discrete properties near Escalet beach, for example.
Next month, the car once owned by legendary Rolling Stones rocker Keith Richards, will be going up for sale in auction. The car in question is a 1972 Ferrari Dino 246GT. First debuted at the Turin Motor Show in November 1969 and featured a transverse engine 2.4 litre V6 which had a top speed of 146mph and did 0-1000m in 26.8 seconds.

Sunday saw the reveal of ‘The Residence of Etihad’, a VIP 125 sq feet multi-room suite aboard the Airbus A380 jets.

The series acts as a prequel to the Batman films and focuses on the young Police Commissioner James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) as he attempts to solve the murder of a young Bruce Wayne’s parents Thomas and Martha Wayne.
