Last night saw the MTV Movie Awards take place in USA and, as always, it pulled in a crowd of actors, musicians and Z-list MTV ‘stars’. If you were watching Mad Men or Game of Thrones instead, here are 5 things you might have missed from the event.

Following the success of 21 Jump Street which saw officers Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) go undercover at a high school, directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller have decided to make a sequel. 22 Jump Street follows the same format as 21 but, this time, the boys are going to college (or university to us). Alongside Hill and Tatum, the film stars Ice Cube, Amber Stevens and Craig Roberts.
As always we like to round up the week’s videos that have gone completely viral on the internet. It’s very difficult to predict what will trend and what won’t and sometimes the videos can be too random for anyone to explain. This week we have a singing Priest, singing goats, a disguised celebrity and… Emma Watson ripping her face off and becoming Sofia Vergara. We told you it was random.

You may not have realised but last Saturday saw anniversary of the death of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain. This Tuesday saw the released of a controversial docudrama examining whether his death was actually a suicide. The film includes interviews with witnesses and experts offering their opinion on the death that was officially ruled as suicide but has sparked many conspiracy theories claiming otherwise. The film is narrated by former detective Tom Grant who was hired by Courtney Love to find her husband Cobain when he went missing. He was found dead in their Seattle home just days later. Whether there is any truth to it or not (the theories have been repeatedly quashed), from the trailer it looks to be a pretty gripping film.
It is all very well having us here at The Gentleman’s Journal telling what you should and shouldn’t be wearing this season. It is also very well to peruse the pages and websites of fashion magazines and blogs, but gentlemen, we’re going one step further and have taken to the bars and streets of London to find out what they want you to wear this season…
With the ongoing trial of Oscar Pistorius unfolding in front of our eyes, it got us thinking about other high-profile murder cases in which athletes were involved. Their fame, fortune and the former adoration from the public for their skills in their sports mean that these 5 trials were publicised around the world.
We hear about potential bugs on the internet all the time but sometimes it is hard to know how seriously to take it and how much it will effect us. This new encryption flaw, Heartbleed bug, is being named as potentially one of the biggest security threats the internet has ever seen. This week, security researchers announced there has been a security flaw in OpenSSL, a data encryption standard that enables in the know hackers to access and extract huge amounts of information and data from services we all use and assume are secure (this includes credit card numbers and passwords).
