Ducati Monster 20th Anniversary

The Ducati Monster undoubtedly revolutionised the biking world and today accounts for half of Ducati sales. It’s a statement design that’s not only treasured but praised all over the world by biking enthusiasts, so much so that it’s become Iconic. This year marks its 20th Anniversary hence the release of a special edition, what better way to celebrate! The special edition is a first, with a bronze-coloured frame, chromium-plated finish and vintage Ducati ’86 logo on the tank. It’s a faultless combination of beautiful design and unmistakable beastly modern performance. The Monster continues to be part of motorbiking history, and rightly so.

Last night Harvey Nichols hosted a reception for the turning on of its wool week light installation. Guests included the Countess of Wessex, Nicholas Coleridge and Poppy Delevingne. Afterwards they strolled over the road to the Mandarin Oriental for dinner. Wool week continues with Lyle & Scott hosting a ‘wooly golf’ activity on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Everyone who takes part gets 20% off in store and are also entered into a draw to win £500 worth of Lyle & Scott pieces. What woolly fun.

With the cold now settling in for the winter ahead, Toad in the hole is the perfect dish for those dark evenings. The origins of the name still remain a mystery, however it is said that the name came from the fact that the sausages look like toads poking out of a hole. Whether you believe this is up to you. With this dish, timing is everything, and the key is to get the oil in the pan scorching hot before you add the sausages and batter. Jamie Oliver’s version with onion gravy is one of the best recipes, and if followed correctly you will be in man food heaven.

Canada Goose was the en vogue brand last year and this trend is set to continue. In one of the best locations in West London, Jeremy King and Chris Corbin’s Cobert finally throws open its doors. This corner of Sloane Square has always been an iconic location. The previous restaurant was the Oriel, which was reportedly closed down because the Landlord, The Earl of Cadogan, didn’t like the food and said the price’s were far too high. So when finding someone to take over the lease, he couldn’t of picked two better men. Jeremy King and Chris Corbin are the duo behind the Wolseley in Piccadilly, which has become a favourite among celebrities.

Golly what a fun night. Last wednesday saw the launch of the Pace’s London flagship gallery. The great and the good of the London Art, Film and Social Scene turned up at the Private View at 6 Burlington Gardens. This was followed by a drinks reception and dinner and the every popular LouLou’s at Robin Birley’s 5 Hertford Street. Guests included Jude Law, Molly Dent Brocklehurst, Heather Kerzner, Nicky Haslam, Elisabeth Murdoch, Graham Norton and Alexandra Shulman.
